There’s something so special about getting the chance to photograph a couple not just on their wedding day, but again afterward when everything has slowed down and they can truly enjoy the moment together. I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Nicole and Andrew’s wedding, and then meeting up with them again for a beautiful post-wedding portrait session — which I was beyond excited for!
Wedding days are filled with so many emotions, excitement, timelines, and celebrations. While those moments are unforgettable, they can also feel rushed at times, especially when trying to fit in portraits between everything else happening throughout the day. That’s why post-wedding sessions are truly such an amazing experience. They give couples the opportunity to slow down, relax, and focus entirely on each other while capturing those timeless, romantic portraits without the stress of a wedding day schedule.
For Nicole and Andrew’s session, we met at the beautiful The Old Stone Church — one of the most iconic and picturesque photography locations in Massachusetts. The scenery was absolutely stunning, especially with the soft colors of fall surrounding us. Even though it was a chilly autumn day, everything came together perfectly.
We spent the evening capturing so many beautiful moments between the two of them, and I’m so grateful they decided to schedule this session. Having that extra time allowed us to create the kind of portraits that every couple dreams of having — relaxed, romantic, and meaningful.
If you’re planning your wedding and considering a post-wedding portrait session, this is your sign to do it! It’s the perfect way to capture additional memories together without the pressure and fast pace of the wedding day itself. These sessions are always some of my favorites because they allow couples to truly be present with one another while creating beautiful images they’ll cherish forever.
